Skills we learn from a Nurse:
Look around you – everywhere there are helpers, always helping us make our lives easy, sometimes without us realizing they are even around. Today, let us see what we can all learn from nurses who help us get better when we are sick. Here are skills they have, which we can all acquire:
- Non-Verbal Communication: Nurses show very good communication skills, Nurses cheer others through their smiles and create a happy place.
- Active Listening: They listen to patients’ concerns carefully and make them feel heard. Active listening also helps them to collect relevant information about the patients.
- Patience: Nurses are very patient, they listen and understand their patient’s problems.
- Kindness: Nurses are very kind, they are always ready to help you whenever you need them.
As homework, think of how you can use these same skills in your daily life – with your friends, family, guests at home, and others. You can write your answers in the comments below.
