Joe was a happy child, he loved being around people and making friends made him feel joyous. He was a part of a big group in his school and relished every moment with them. One fine day Joe and his group encountered a new guy named Honey, who just got admitted to this school. Joe and his group decided to trouble him. Just for fun, they hid his book and his tiffin box. Honey had to spend his day famished and without a book he was too scared to go to the class teacher and tell her about it.
Joe noticed Honey sitting in the corner all disheartened and sad. He felt like he had done something wrong but refused to feel guilty, convincing himself that he had done this just for fun. He was back home from his school, and as soon as he entered the house, he heard his mother reciting a story to his little sister. It was a story about a prince who troubled every child in his town and nobody could stop him as they all feared the king. One fine day a stronger prince from a wealthier town came and bullied this prince. Now the prince found himself helpless and he had nobody to his aid as he had been very cruel to everyone. He regretted his past actions and realised what others might’ve gone through when he bullied them. A sudden surge of guilt and regret ran through Joe’s body. This realization of how thoughtless and inconsiderate he had been today made him cry.
The next day Joe decided to repair the damage he had done and to rectify his misdoings. He went to the class teacher and apprised her about the events that had taken place yesterday. The teacher was a bit disappointed and she made him understand where he had gone wrong. She also appreciated Joe for his honesty. Joe apologised to Honey. Honey was kind enough to overlook Joe’s mistakes and forgive him. Joe promised to be a good friend. Joe had to face consequences as his other friends were upset that he ratted out on them. Joe tried to make them aware of how erroneous their actions were. Troubling other people and calling it fun is not acceptable and is awfully wrong, this might affect the other person terribly. He left it to his friends, to make a choice and apologise to Honey, but if not, Joe would not agree or participate in anything he didn’t feel was right.
