You might know about the world famous characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Snow white, etc.; but did you know who created these characters? Walt Disney is the man behind these beloved characters. Walt Disney was an American animator, film producer and entrepreneur. Walt Disney is one of the most famous and well-known personalities in the world. Walt Disney is best known as the voice and creator of Mickey Mouse, as well as the founder of Disneyland. His accomplishments in the area of animation earned him several prizes and international recognition.
There are so many things we can learn from one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the world.
- Being passionate about the things you love: The first lesson we can take from Disney as a businessman is his passion for his art. He enjoys drawing so much that he indulged in it in his leisure time and even while working as an artist. He committed so much of his life to his art that he was willing to work other jobs only to support it. Imagine how enjoyable it would have been for him to get up every day and go to his studio to do what he truly enjoys.
- Chasing after your dreams: “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” – Walt Disney. To achieve something great and stand out in the history of the world, you must be brave enough to do things that not many people dare to do. When Walt Disney originally began production on Snow White, his wife and brother tried everything to persuade him to quit. The Snow White project was even dubbed “Disney’s Folly,” as he ran out of money halfway through development. Most individuals in this scenario would give up and take whatever they could from what was left, but Disney persisted. He decided to fly around and display raw film snippets to producers in the hopes that they would fund his movie; in the end, this initiative rescued his studio and allowed him to complete the legendary Snow White picture which was a roaring success.
Walt Disney’s works teach us many things, including the importance of love for family and friends, hope for the better, and his most essential lesson: good will always prevail over evil.
