Have you heard of Dr. Seuss? He was a very creative children’s author and cartoonist. He wrote more than 60 books in his lifetime. Here are some fun facts about this famous author: 

1. Did you know that Dr. Seuss’s birthday, which is on March 2nd, is the annual date for National Read Across America Day? This initiative was created to urge children to read books and realize its importance.
2. In 1957, Dr. Seuss published Cat in the Hat using just 236 different words to help children build their vocabulary in a fun, engaging way!
3. He wrote the famous book Green Eggs and Ham based on a bet that he could not write a story using less than 50 words.
