A friend from far away
Far away from a world unheard, came a being to our planet Earth. Sitting in its spaceship at the speed of light, it crossed the clouds and crashed very tight. Some kids were playing on the ground nearby, and they saw this and thought it was a falling star from the sky. They closed their eyes and started to wish, not knowing that it wasn’t a star but a flying ship.
Suddenly they heard a bang in the woods. They got scared they stepped back from where they stood. What happened, was the question in their mind, “Let us go and see!” a kid yelled. Wandering in the woods they saw smoke from a place, they went near and by what they saw, they were amazed. Lying beside a broken spaceship there was a being never seen before, with a green and slimy body, antennas on an oval head, and four big black eyes. As the creature opened its eyes, the kids got frightened and ran to hide behind the trees nearby. The creature started looking around, thinking about which planet he had landed on. He saw the hiding kids and said, “Which planet is this, can you tell me? No need to be afraid.” The kids gathered courage and came near, “This is Earth” said a kid. Another asked, “Who are you, and why are you here?”.The alien replied, “I am Kiklo and I have come from Niggoland”, as he analysed the place through the device in his hand.
Kiklo and the kids told each other about their places, as they talked more, the fear went out of the children’s faces. While talking, Kiklo surprisingly asked the kids “Why are you all together? Do you have some relation?” One kid said that they were friends, and listening to this Kiklo was in confusion. “What is a friend?” Kiklo questioned. “When people like to be together, they are said to be friends” a kid mentioned. “Wow, that is so beautiful,” said Kiklo amazed, “the bonding in humans is very highly staged.” A kid asked Kiklo “Do you have a friend?” Kiklo replied, “No, there is no friendship on our land..”
“Maybe this is the reason our planet is in chaos” Kiklo wondered. “What is wrong with your planet?” the kids questioned. Kiklo said, “Our people are fighting with each other and lacking co-operation. I am traveling to different planets to find this problem’s solution”. The kids mentioned to Kiklo that friendship indeed helps to unify people, it makes the bond we share even deeper. Friends come together on each other’s issues and resolve them, and friendship can help Kiklo solve his planet’s problems. “I think friendship can help us counter this!” Kiklo stated in excitement. Finally, after so many efforts Kiklo was successful in completing his assignment. Kiklo thanked the kids and said, “From now on you all are my friends. Please don’t ever forget your friend from far away.”
What do we learn
Friendship is a virtue that we have that helps us to develop our social skills like getting along, cooperating with others, and to solve conflicts and problems. Never stop making new friends!
